due Wednesday, November 1 - Sections D and E due Thursday, November 2 - Sections C and F Using chapter 5.2 and 5.3 in your text book create a timeline of 10 events that led to the Revolutionary War. A timeline is different than an organized list. You need to actually have a line. The events do not need to be explained unless you want those explanations for you notes.

due Thursday, October 26 -Section F due Friday, October 27 - Sections C, D, and E Complete the Nystrom mapping handout using the maps provided. Remember that to complete the "Time and Change" section on the back, you will need page 21 (the third page in the attached file or the single sheet I gave you in class). E period, I missed getting page 21 to you in class, but tried to find you. If I missed you, you can find page 21 below in the "French and Indian War maps" file.
due Wednesday, October 25 - Sections C, D, E and F Read chapter 5.2 in your text book. Then write a letter to King James responding to the treatment of British colonists in North America. (Be sure you are using the reading and not just your background knowledge! The story that has likely been told to you is not necessarily accurate.). Underline three facts in your letter that come from the reading.
All sections have their first unit test in history about Colonization on Wednesday, October 18. You received a study guide in class early in the short week. The only part of the study guide you have not yet seen is Anthony Johnson and the social construction of race, which we will be covering between now and then. We have covered a ton of information this unit and the test is long. You will have 45 minutes to take it, even if you have a block on Wednesday. PLEASE, do not leave studying for the night before the test. Start making flash cards and crib sheets, and schedule study groups now. I am available to help study or lead study groups during tutorial on Thursday, Monday and Tuesday.
due Tuesday, October 10 - Sections E and F due Wednesday, October 11 - Sections C and D On your last class meeting of the week we had a brief Socratic Seminar about the relationship between geography and the economic development of the colonies. In class, you tracked this seminar on the back of the seminar preparation handout. Using these notes and your memory, write a reflection (typed or hand written on a clean sheet of lined paper) that answers questions 1 and 3 on the seminar reflection handout. On the due date, I expect you to turn in all three sheets of paper -- the seminar preparation, seminar reflection sheet, and the homework.
Thursday, October 5 - Section F Friday, October 6 - Sections D, E, and F Complete the VoiceThread Scavenger Hunt using the VoiceThreads shared by your classmates. Your chapter 3 chart might also be helpful.
