due Friday, December 15 - Sections C, D, E, and F On Monday you received a packet of three maps with a cover page of instructions to follow. You may work with others on this assignment, but you must turn in your own packet. All of the information needed to complete the packet can be found in your text book or the map provided with the packet. Neatness counts! Please do not use markers. (The challenge features on map 1 are optional.) You have a week to work and this will be the only homework assigned while we work on the DBQ in class. My suggestion is to aim to have one of the three maps done a day so that you have one day of wiggle room. The maps are due at 3:15 on Friday so you can use study halls to complete them if that is a resource available to you. I will still ask in class if anyone is ready to turn them in. Section F does not meet on Friday, so I will collect any completed packets in class on Thursday, but there is no late penalty if you turn your packet in on Friday. That said, you need to remember to bring it to me.

due Friday, December 8 - Section D due Monday, December 11 - Sections C, E, and F By Friday, every section has started our DBQ about the Mexican American War. Part of the DBQ is the background reading and related questions. We will be going over these in class on Monday, so this assignment must be done by then if you would like credit. If you would like to keep this in your class folder while we are working on the DBQ, please give it to me when you are done and you will have access to it in class.
due Thursday, December 7 - Section F due Friday, December 8 - Sections Sections C & E due Monday, December 11 - Section D During your block this week, you participated in an activity in which you outfitted a family of 4 to successfully travel west on the Oregon Trail. The parts of this activity are posted on the Westward Expansion page. For homework, you need to answer the reflection questions using complete sentences. While these questions could be answered superficially, I push you to go a bit deeper and support your answers with specific details or by providing an example.
